1000 Travels Of Jawaharlal is a screamo band from Japan. They formed at the beginning of 1999 in Kita-Kyushu, influenced by bands like Rites Of Spring, Jawbreaker, Husker Du, Embrace and Fugazi. with a unique sound, they mix screamo and hardcore with fast tunes and deep melodic screams but they're anything but chaotic, it's more they're very clean and gripping. They are releasing on czech label Day After Records.

ボアダムス/BOREDOMS/V∞redoms is an experimental rock band from Osaka, Japan. The band was officially formed in 1986, although some date the band to bedroom tape experiments from 1982. The band's output is usually referred to as noise rock, though their more recent records have been largely based around repetitive minimalism, ambient music, and tribal drumming. Many band members have rotated through the group over the years, often using a number of various stage names. Singer Yamantaka Eye is the closest the band has to a frontman; his style includes a range of baffling screams, babbling, electronic effects, and very heavy post-production. Drummer/keyboard player/vocalist Yoshimi P-We is featured on most Boredoms recordings. The current members are Yamantaka Eye, Yoshimi P-We, Yojiro Tatekawa and Shinji Masuko.

Brainiac were an American synthpunk and noise band from Dayton, Ohio. They formed in 1992 with vocalist and keyboard (particularly Moog synthesizers) player Tim Taylor, bassist Juan Monasterio, guitarist Michelle Bodine and drummer Tyler Trent. Brainiac’s motivation to include the Moog with their sound is due to Taylor and Monasterio hearing “Shake It” by David Bowie at a party. Monasterio and Bodine showed no interest in playing the instrument so Taylor did “by default.” They disbanded in 1997 due to Taylor's sudden death.

Super Junky Monkey「Super Junky Alien」

Super Junky Monkey is a Japanese all-female rock group who performed and merged various styles and genres of music, including hardcore, heavy metal, rap, jazz, noise, punk, and funk. They played as a four-piece during the 1990s, until the tragic suicide of their singer, Mutsumi Fukuhara, in 1999. They disbanded until 2009 when a reunion to conmemorate the tenth aniversary of Mutsumi’s death brought the three surviving members, Keiko, Shinobu Kawai, and Matsudaaahh!! back together for good. They are currently touring Japan. Influences on the band members include Steve Vai, Jaco Pastorius, Madball, Pink Floyd and Mr. Bungle.

EeL is a female artist from Japan. She creates electric punk music composed with a cute, funky, pop sound. In 1999, her first work was released, which is a blend French pop and Bossa nova style. From January 2000, her style evolved to incorporate a combination of "high-speed programmed beats" and "whispering vocal" electropop sounds. In April 2002, "Milch of Source" (ROMZ record) joined as track maker for the release of her 4th album, Little Prince, which is a blend of reconstructed Electric & Pop sounds, utilizing a variety of genres like old school, break-core, funk and reggae.

Soap&Skin is the experimental musical project of Austrian artist Anja Plaschg (born 5 April 1990). Anja Plaschg grew up in a small village called Gnas in south east Styria, where her parents have a farm. She has played piano since she was six. At the age of 14 she began violin studies and developed an interest in electronic music. She attended the Graz Polytechnic for Graphic Design, but dropped out at 16 and moved to Vienna shortly afterwards. There she studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in the master class of Daniel Richter, but at 18 dropped out again.

Aunt Sally were an avant-punk-psychedelic-rock group from Japan, active in the late 1970s. Members besides creative heads Phew (vocals) and Bikke (guitars, vocals) were Kataoka (bass guitar), Takashi Maruyama (drums) and Mayu (keyboards).

Bears on Parade「This is not for you」

Not much is known about Bears on Parade. The best way to describe their music, I would say, is likely post-rock. Somewhat sample driven at times. The track "Got A Little Girl Named Rose" is enough reason to download this EP, featuring a sample of several interviews with Charles Manson accompanied by haunting piano melodies. This EP is without a doubt beautiful and a stand out for me amongst all the ho-hum post-rock of today.

夢中夢「イリヤ／il y a」

If you can call a band 'unique' that is 夢中夢(mutyumu), japanese band created in 2002 with Hatis Noit and Ryota Yoda (Vocals) Junpei Suda (Drums), Yuko Ikenaga (Piano), Yuji Hayashi (Bass) and Ryota Taniuchi (Violin) is a mix of everything, being impossible to categorize in only one style. Mixing piano with violin, drums, bass, guitars and a beautiful opera voice. The band itself describes its own music as a mixture of post-rock, minimal, classical, alternative, and heavy metal.

On their album “イリヤ - il y a -“, World’s End Girlfriend, Hajime of ミドリ, and Robin from 赤犬 also worked in collaboration with the band.

Þeyr (also known as Theyr) were a lot darker and at times more agressive than other bands. They played various styles of music often compared to those of Killing Joke and Joy Division. The band members had a deep interest in wisdom and occultism. Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson (member of Ásatrúarfélagiðacted) as an ideological guidance for the band. In 1981 they recorded the music for Brennu-Njálssaga, an early short-film of Iceland's famous film maker Friðrik Þór Friðriksson. In 1982 they even got the chance to record three songs with Killing Joke's frontman Jaz Coleman, which still remain unreleased.  The god and death stars started out as a session band which was originally active between 2006.08.14 and 2007.03.27. Despite them having had no releases most of their songs have been rearranged and published in aie’s later band the studs.

In August 2009, aie revived the project. Currently the usual members are kazu (ex.蜉蝣) and 大嵩潤 (rowthe), although occasionally aie also plays with other musicians such as ササブチヒロシ, 高井淳 and hati (9GOATS BLACK OUT). During the second half of 2011 they played two lives as the god and death sugars with 篤人 (ex.Ｓｕｇａｒ) on drums. aie also performs the god and death stars songs solo under the name aie (from the god and death stars).

On May 6th 2011 they announced they’d record a mini-album, which was released on September 26th, aie’s 33rd birthday.
